01 · Method

Method and first class

How CoreWork works, class duration, what to wear and what to know before your first session.

Is CoreWork Pilates?

CoreWork® Fitness Pilates is based on the control, precision and low-impact principles associated with Pilates, but uses a more dynamic Reformer-based format with adjustable resistance and a stronger fitness component. Learn more on the CoreWork Fitness Pilates page.

How long is a CoreWork class?

Standard sessions last around 50 minutes. Special class formats may have a different duration, so always check the selected class in the schedule before booking.

What is the minimum age for CoreWork classes?

Participation is reserved for adults. In some cases, exceptions may be considered for people aged 16 and over, subject to verification and parental consent.

Is Reformer Pilates suitable for men?

Yes. Reformer training works on strength, control, mobility, posture and endurance, making it suitable for men as well. The trainer can suggest resistance settings and exercise variations according to experience and individual characteristics.

What should I bring to my first class?

Wear comfortable, fairly fitted activewear so the trainer can observe your movement. Grip socks can be used; shoes are not worn on the Reformer. Bring a water bottle as well. For more practical advice, read How to Prepare for Your First Reformer Pilates Class.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving around 15 minutes before the class starts, especially for your first visit, so you have time to get ready and join the session from the beginning.

Can children accompany me during class?

No. Studio space is dedicated to participants and, for organisational reasons and out of respect for other guests, children cannot accompany you during the class.

Bookings and studios

Locations, schedule, waitlist, cancellations and practical information for your visit.

Where are the CoreWork studios in Milan?

CoreWork has five Milan locations: Porta Venezia, Porta Nuova, Magenta, Sempione and Missori. You can find the current addresses on the CoreWork Contact page, which lists all five studios.

How do I book a CoreWork class?

You can book from the CoreWork website or app by choosing the studio, date and an available time. If you still need to create your account, start from Start now.

Is there a waitlist for full classes?

Yes. If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. If a place becomes available within the conditions shown by the booking system, you may be enrolled automatically and receive a courtesy notification. You can also check your status in the app.

Can I change or cancel a booking?

Yes. You can cancel your booking and choose another class. If you make the change at least 12 hours before the class starts, the credit is not lost. Late cancellations and no-shows result in the class credit being deducted.

Are changing rooms, showers and lockers available?

Facilities can vary by studio. Before your visit, check the relevant studio information or contact CoreWork for a specific confirmation.

Is there a weekly limit on the number of classes I can take?

There is no stated weekly minimum or maximum for class packages. You can organise your frequency according to your available credits, goals and the class schedule.

How do I purchase classes?

Do class packages have an expiry date?

Yes. Current validity periods are: 2 introductory classes 1 month, single entry 1 month, 5 classes 3 months, 10 classes 6 months, 20 classes 9 months and 30 classes 12 months. Always check the latest conditions on the Packages page before purchasing.

Do I need a membership to train at CoreWork?

No. Class packages can be purchased without a mandatory membership. Monthly memberships are a separate option for clients who prefer a regular 4, 8 or 12-class monthly routine.

Can unused credits be refunded?

Purchased and unused credits are not refundable under the Customer Terms and Conditions. The existing CoreWork FAQ provides for a transfer to another person in unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from using the credits; for a specific case, contact CoreWork support.

Can I pay for a package by bank transfer?

Yes. With a bank transfer, you need to wait for the payment to be credited before the class credits become available. For the correct payment details and procedure, contact CoreWork.
